APRIL 18, 2013 MEETING MINUTES

 

The meeting was held in short form due to lack of a quorum.

 

FINANCIAL REPORT:

 

The Financial Report was presented by our Treasurer, Carole Swank and a motion to accept was made by Ann Roadarmel and seconded by Frank Berger.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

The minutes for the February 21, 2013 meeting were approved with a motion made by Carole Swank and seconded by Frank Berger.

 

            Food Pantry

            It has been gratifying to be informed that the two Ralpho Township food pantries which

are supported by our members are very grateful for our donations.

Entrance to the Community Park

Weeding still needs to be done and dead bushes removed. Some trees will be replaced,

“Preen” (weed killer) will be applied and mulching will take place.

           

NEW BUSINESS                             

            New Memberships   

Carole Swank reported that there are 79 members at the present time.

            New members will be voted on and recognized at our May meeting.

            Community Clean Sweep Yard Sale – May 18

            John Boback has again volunteered to take care of the signs for the yard sale.        

This year, the Elysburg Fire Company will offer 20 ft. x 20 ft. spaces to be rented 

for the Yard Sale. The indoor spaces will include three tables for a fee of $20.

The outdoor spaces will not include tables for a fee of $10. Please telephone

274-0798 or 898-7636 to reserve these spaces.

Township Maps

The map costs have risen again this year. President Frank Berger will speak to

the printer regarding the cost for the printing of 2,500 – 3,000 maps for 2013.

A motion was made by Carole Swank to proceed with the printing of the 2013 maps

 with the cost not to exceed $860.  Frank Berger seconded the motion.  The color

of this year’s maps will be salmon with an alternate color of goldenrod being selected.

 

COMMITTEE  REPORTS:           

 

            Scholarship

            This year’s scholarship winner is Katie Dunkelberger.

            Letters will be sent to the applicants who were considered for this honor, and pictures

            will be taken and the scholarship check will be presented at our May 16 meeting.

 

THE NEXT MEETING WILL BE HELD ON MAY 16, 2013
